Based on insights from attending Acton University, Alumna Cheryl Miller co-wrote, Business Doing Good: Engaging Women and Elevating Communities. Her work focuses on helping businesses engage marginalized women by focusing on the unique perspectives and assets they bring to the table.

Building on core content from Acton University, Alumnus Jeff Hoffman utilizes Acton resources in staff and intern trainings. He has also invited local pastors who have applied these principles to their ministry. He shares how, “We refocused some of our ministry activity on local ministries that were more developmentally focused as a means of moving people out of dignity destroying dependency.”

Acton University equips student leaders with the foundation they need to thrive in the future. Alumna Marshelle Paulino said of the conference “I’ve learned about the meaning and importance of a true education.” Building on this intellectual foundation, Marshelle was able to connect with professionals in fields where she has interest.

After attending Acton University, Acton Alumnus and college professor Jorge Velarde Rosso was inspired to found a think tank in Bolivia to promote the ideas and values he learned at the conference. LIBERA now equips leaders with key ideas and resources such as Acton’s documentary, Poverty Inc.
