Over the years, Acton has worked strategically to reach established leaders— pastors, businesspeople, and scholars—whose daily work and spheres of influence naturally amplify our mission to promote freedom and virtue.

Just as critically, we have also worked to reach the next generation of leaders through our annual Emerging Leaders Program.

Since the program’s founding, talented college students from Hillsdale right here in Michigan to Corvinus in Hungary have spent their summers with us working and studying. Carefully selected from scores of outstanding applicants from prestigious universities and seminaries around the world, these young men and women help us accomplish our mission in an economical and mutually beneficial manner.

Our Emerging Leaders have continued to demonstrate that we were right to invest in them, as most have gone on to lead various free enterprise groups at their universities around the world.

Emerging Leaders Program: 2022 Activity Report

Since the program’s founding, talented college students have spent their summers with us working and studying. Carefully selected from outstanding applicants from prestigious universities and seminaries around the world, these young men and women help us accomplish our mission.

These capable leaders return to their institutions with something greater than new skills and professional experience: They leave with a deeper appreciation for and a better understanding of the enduring principles of liberty that are essential to a prosperous society.

Principled leadership is crucial to spreading the ideas of liberty, particularly among peers who may be tempted by the false promises of socialism.

It is thanks to our benefactors that we are able to continue providing a space and environment to host 20 future leaders every summer here at our headquarters. As the 2022 Emerging Leaders Activity Report Shows, the effectiveness of the program is a force to be reckoned with.
